In an exclusive comment for TaToTake, the specialist talked about the details of the conversation with the club president Oleksandr Granovsky and the internal reasons that led to the termination of the contract.
According to Kucher, the decision to fire him was initiated by the club’s sponsors. About five days ago, Oleksandr Granovsky informed the coach that due to a certain situation, investors want to see another specialist on the bridge.
Kucher himself admitted that such news did not come as a bolt from the blue for him. He noted that already during the season he felt discomfort due to the management’s attempts to influence purely football issues.
“When the management tries to influence coaching moments, it means that someone is working “in the shadows,” Oleksandr stressed.
The coach emphasized that his priority was the return of sailors to the elite of Ukrainian football. For the sake of this goal, in the summer he rejected several offers from Premier League clubs and foreign teams, despite the current contract with Odessa, which was supposed to be valid for another year.
Despite the unpleasant ending of the cooperation, Kucher decided not to bring the case to legal disputes. Oleksandr stated that to sue Chornomorets is the last thing he would like in this situation.
