The 20-year-old Frenchman joined the German club on loan in the summer, with a buy-out option included in the deal between the parties.
Wolfsburg exercised this clause and Kumbedi signed a full contract until 30 June 2029.
The French footballer, who is a player of the youth national team of France U-21, made his debut for Wolfsburg in the match of the seventh round of the Bundesliga against Stuttgart. In total, in the current season, Kumbedi played 10 official matches, in which he scored four assists.
