Lamine Yamal continues to impress the football world with his game, but the legendary ex-player of Atletico Madrid and the Portugal national team Paulo Futre is sure: for the final climb to the top, the 18-year-old winger lacks one important factor – a serious relationship.

Appearing on the popular Spanish show El Chiringuito, Futre, 59, stunned host Josep Pedrerol with his statement. According to the Portuguese, it is difficult for young talents to stay focused on sports when there are too many temptations around.

“Lamine Yamal is going to be the best in the world, but he needs to find a girlfriend as soon as possible, very quickly. He is young and it is important for him to have stability. When I met the mother of my children, I started to be a professional in football 100%,” explained Futre.

After a successful Euro 2024, he was linked with influencer Alex Padilla, and later with Argentinian pop star Nicky Nicole. However, none of the relationships became long-lasting.
