Real Madrid could trade Arda Guler to sign Florian Wirtz from Liverpool, Spanish media reports. Such an agreement would allow Vershkov to strengthen the midfield with one of Europe’s brightest young stars.

The Turkish midfielder has lost his stable place at the core of the team under Xabi Alonso. Competition with Jude Bellingham and a strained relationship with the manager have affected Guler’s playing time and the club have made no secret of their disappointment with his form, which is why he is being considered for a transfer.

Florian Wirtz, who previously worked with Alonso at Bayer Leverkusen, has yet to fully adapt to the EPL and is seen as an ideal reinforcement in Madrid. However, a deal could prove difficult due to the high fee Liverpool paid for the German midfielder.
