Manchester United’s experienced midfielder Casemiro is determined to continue playing for the English club. As journalist Graham Bailey reports for TEAMtalk, the management of the “Mancunians” is already negotiating with the Brazilian regarding a new contract.

According to a source, the 33-year-old midfielder, who is in excellent form, has suspended all contact with other clubs as his priority is to sign a new contract with Manchester United. Casemiro’s current deal runs until the end of June 2026 and includes an option to extend for another season. However, the club does not plan to automatically activate this option, but wants to agree on new terms of cooperation with a decrease in the player’s salary.

In the current season, the Brazilian has already played 15 matches in the Premier League, in which he scored four goals and provided one assist. Under the leadership of Ruben Amorim, Casemiro once again became one of the team’s key players.

It will be recalled that Casemiro joined Manchester United in the summer of 2022, transferring from Real Madrid for 60 million pounds. Currently, the transfer value of the Brazilian is estimated at 8 million euros.

United were prepared to consider selling the Brazilian last summer, but the high financial demands of the player, whose wages are rumored to be in excess of £350,000-a-week, have put off potential buyers.
