Inter Miami is preparing to make a high-profile offseason transfer move, with the club closing in on the signing of Minnesota United and Canada goalkeeper Dane St. Clair.

The 28-year-old goalkeeper, who became a free agent after the end of his contract with Minnesota, won the MLS Goalkeeper of the Year title in 2025. Last season, he kept 10 clean sheets, conceded 30 goals in 30 games, and helped the team reach the playoff semifinals and finish fourth in the Western Conference.

St. Clair has made nearly 200 appearances for Minnesota United, becoming a club leader and a regular in the starting lineup since 2020. His international experience includes 18 caps for Canada, where he is in contention for the No. 1 spot at the 2026 World Cup.

Miami’s goaltending has been a problem throughout the season after former starting goalkeeper Rocco Rios Novo left the club.

An official announcement about the transfer is expected to take place in the near future.
