Head coach Massimiliano Allegri decided to bring in young players due to a series of personnel losses. In particular, striker Santiago Jimenez did not fly with the team due to an ankle problem, while the participation of defender Matteo Gabbia remains in question – he could join the team later.
Among the young footballers called up is 19-year-old Maksimilian Ibrahimovic, the son of the legendary Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who currently works as an adviser to the club’s owners.
