Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has confirmed that centre-back Cristian Mosquera is out for several weeks with an injury.

According to the Spanish coach, the nature of the injury turned out to be more serious than the club initially expected:

“Unfortunately, he’s out for a few weeks. It’s a lot more than we thought, but Christian felt discomfort, so now he’s definitely going to miss some time,” Arteta was quoted as saying journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Mosquera’s injury has become another staffing problem for Arsenal, who have regularly lost key players this season. Earlier it became known that the young talent Max Dowman was out for two months. Kai Havertz, Gabriel and William Saliba are also out.
