Kolos coach Ruslan Kostyshyn rated the draw 0:0 in the match of the 15th round of the championship of Ukraine against Shakhtar.

According to the coach, the team could have done more, but the result against the giant is still positive:

“I went to the locker room now and many players… We wanted more. We believe that we can do more now in this state. Of course, a draw with a giant is a positive, but the team is in such a high state, physically, emotionally, it looks good. We could have created something more. But it’s a sin to complain,” Kostyshyn said.

The coach explained that the game was affected by a certain nervousness and staffing problems: due to injuries to the attacking midfielders, three defenders were on the field, acting as midfielders, which made it difficult for the team to attack.

At the same time, according to him, the defense acted in a disciplined manner, and this made it possible to contain Shakhtar:

“There was a lot of nervousness when working with the ball. We lost a lot of balls in transitions. We had insiders. There were essentially three defenders on the field. They performed the functions of insiders, but it’s not natural for them. Here it was a little more difficult for us to act on the attack. But there was more discipline in the defense,” Kostyshyn explained.

The head coach also emphasized that the team is in good shape and traditionally looks good at the end of the year:

“Our season is divided into periods: a good period, then we lost, and now it’s a good period again. Now we look very good. Kolos does not want to go on vacation, because according to tradition, at the end of the season, the team under my management looks good. Have we left the zone of turbulence? I have hope,” Kostyshyn added.
