Manchester United midfielder Kobbi Mainu has informed the club’s management of his desire to go on loan during the winter transfer window. This is reported by The Athletic.

The 20-year-old footballer is disappointed with his current position in the team. He has played in nine Premier League games this season, averaging just 19 minutes and never starting the game. Due to the lack of playing practice, Mainu asked to be allowed to temporarily change the club.

Manchester United has not yet made a final decision. The club plans to wait until the end of the Africa Cup of Nations to assess the situation with the squad after the return of the players who will go to the tournament.

According to the source, Mainu prefers renting to a foreign club. Earlier it was reported about Napoli’s interest in the player.
