On December 1, 2025, at the age of 80, after a long illness, Volodymyr Muntyan, a legend of the “White and Blue” football player and one of the brightest symbols of Ukrainian football in the 1960s and 70s, passed away.
Volodymyr Fedorovych became the champion of the USSR seven times as part of the Kyiv team, twice won the national Cup, and also became the winner of the Cup of Cups and the UEFA Super Cup in 1975.
Muntyan has 371 matches, 70 goals and 36 assists for Dynamo.
After completing his professional career, he worked as a head coach at the head of SKA Kyiv, FC Cherkasy, Tavria, Obolon-PRO, Spartak Vkz, Kryvbas, Vorskla, the reserve team of Dynamo Kyiv, as well as the youth national team of Ukraine and the national team of Guinea.
Muntyan’s last place of work was the position of coordinator of young personnel at Dynamo (2011-13).
