Lecce earned a 2-1 home win over Torino in Sunday’s Serie A clash, but Torino came close to saving the day when Cristian Asllani missed a last-minute penalty.

The hosts were without Gabi Jean, Filip Marcwinski, Matias Perez and Balthazar Pierre, while Torino could not count on Ardian Ismaili, Giovanni Simeone and Perr Schuurs.

In the 20th minute, Lassan Coulibaly made a good use of a corner kick from Medon Berisha, scoring 1:0. Soon after, Berisha excelled again in attack, bypassing Cesare Casadei and passing to Lamek Banda, who smashed the ball into the far corner of the goal – 2-0.

Torino reduced the deficit early in the second half after a combination through Guillermo Maripan and Nikola Vlasic, and Che Adams fired into the far corner to make it 2-1.

In the last minute, Kristian Asllani had a chance to equalize from the penalty spot, but his shot was saved by the Lecce goalkeeper and the final score remained 2-1 in favor of the hosts.
