Two years after Harry Kane’s transfer to Bayern Munich, Tottenham are still searching for the perfect replacement for their top scorer. Despite the signing of Dominic Solanke and the loan of Randal Kolo Muani, Thomas Frank’s side continue to be short of goals, especially after Son Heung-min also left the club in the summer.

According to Sky Sport, the London club is seriously interested in signing Porto’s 21-year-old striker Samu Agehova. Agehova is considered an ideal candidate for Thomas Frank’s system, who knows how to unlock the potential of forwards, as was the case with Ivan Toney at Brentford.

Tottenham is not the only contender. Chelsea are also in the hunt for the player, whose transfer to the Blues in the summer of 2024 failed due to a failed medical.

Samu’s contract runs until 2029 and has a release clause of €100m. However, Porto president Andre Villas-Boas, a former Spurs coach, could agree to let the player go for €80m due to financial pressure on the Portuguese club.

In the 2025/26 season, the Spaniard has already scored 9 goals in 15 matches. He impressed everyone last season, scoring 27 times in all competitions.
