The press service of Dynamo Kyiv announced drastic changes in the coaching staff of the first team after the match of the fourth round of the UEFA Conference League against Omonia, which ended with the defeat of the “white and blue” with a score of 0:2.

The capital club announced that head coach Oleksandr Shovkovskyi and his staff have been relieved of their duties.

Ihor Kostyuk, the current coach of Dynamo U-19, has been appointed acting head coach. He will temporarily manage the team while the club decides on a new permanent coach.

The statement emphasizes that the club will inform about further personnel steps after appropriate consultations and internal discussions.

We will remind that Oleksandr Shovkovskyi headed Dynamo in November 2023, and already in November he became a full-fledged head coach. Under his leadership, the Kyiv team became champions of Ukraine in the 2024/25 season, but the failures of this campaign were fatal for the specialist.
