There is a moment in the life of every nation when everyone needs to talk. Fair. Quietly. Without conjectures, rumors, gossip, without everything superfluous. Yes, as it is. As I always try to talk to you.

Now is one of the most difficult moments in our history. Now the pressure on Ukraine is one of the heaviest. Ukraine may now face a very difficult choice. Either the loss of dignity or the risk of losing a key partner. Either difficult 28 points, or an extremely difficult winter – the hardest – and further risks. Life without freedom, without dignity, without justice. And for us to believe the one who has already attacked twice.

We will wait for an answer. Although in fact I already gave it. On May 20, 2019, when, swearing allegiance to Ukraine, he said, in particular: “I, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, elected by the will of the people as the President of Ukraine, undertake to defend the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine in all my affairs, to defend the rights and freedoms of citizens, to comply with the Constitution and laws of Ukraine, to fulfill my duties in the interests of all compatriots, to raise Ukraine’s authority in the world.” For me, this is not a protocol formality for a check mark – it is an oath. And every day, I am faithful to her every word. And I will never I will not betray. The national Ukrainian interest must be taken into account.

We do not make loud statements, we will calmly work with America and all partners. There will be a constructive search for solutions with our main partner.

I will present arguments, I will convince, offer alternatives, but we will definitely not give the enemy reasons to say that it is Ukraine that does not want peace, that it is a failure there is a process and Ukraine is not ready for diplomacy. This will not happen.

Ukraine will work quickly. Today, Saturday and Sunday, all next week and as long as it takes. In a 24/7 mode, I will fight to ensure that among all the points of the plan, at least two are not missed – these are the dignity and freedom of Ukrainians. Because everything else is based on this – our sovereignty, our independence, our land, our people. And the Ukrainian future.

We will and must do everything to ensure that the end of the war and the end of Ukraine, the end of Europe and global peace do not happen as a result.

I was just talking to the Europeans. We count on European friends who clearly understand that Russia is not far away, that it is close to the borders of the EU, that Ukraine is now the only shield that separates a comfortable European life from Putin’s plans. We remember: Europe was with us. We believe: Europe will be with us.

Ukraine should not see deja vu on February 24, when there was a feeling that we were alone. When no one could stop Russia, except for our heroic people who became a wall against Putin’s army.

And we were certainly very pleased when the world said: Ukrainians are incredible; God, what kind of people are they, Ukrainians, how they fight, how Ukrainians fight; what titans they are. And it’s true. Absolute. But both Europe and the whole world must also understand another truth – that Ukrainians are first of all people, and we have been holding back one of the largest armies in the world for almost four years of a full-scale invasion, and we are holding a front line of several thousand kilometers, and our people are experiencing shelling, missile attacks, ballistic strikes and shaheed strikes every night, and our people are losing someone close to them every day, and our people really want the war to end. We are, of course, steel. But any, even the strongest, metal may not withstand.

Do not forget about it, be with Ukraine, be with our people, and therefore, be with dignity and freedom!

Dear Ukrainians!

Remember that first day of the war. Most of us have made a choice. Choice in favor of Ukraine. Remember our feelings then. How was it? It’s dark, loud, heavy, painful, scary for many, but the enemy didn’t see our fleeing backs. He saw our eyes, full of readiness to fight for his own. This is dignity. This is freedom. And this is actually the most terrible thing that can happen to Russia – to see the unity of Ukrainians.

Then our unity was aimed at protecting our home from the enemy.

And now we also need unity more than ever, so that there is a decent peace in our home.

I am now addressing all Ukrainians. Our people, citizens, politicians – everyone. We need to get together. Come to yourself. Stop talking. Stop political games. The state must work. The parliament of the belligerent country must work unitedly. The government of a belligerent country must work efficiently. And all of us together must not forget and not confuse who exactly is the enemy of Ukraine today.

I remember how, on the first day of the war, various walkers handed me various plans, points, and ultimatums regarding the end of the war. They said: either yes or no. Either you will sign it, or you will simply be liquidated and it will be signed by “v. at. of the President of Ukraine”.

How it ended is known. Many of these walkers became part of the exchange fund and went with their proposals and items “to the council harbor”.

I did not betray Ukraine then, I definitely felt the support of everyone behind my shoulders. Each of you. Every Ukrainian, every soldier, every volunteer, every doctor, diplomat, journalist, all of our people.

We did not betray Ukraine then, we will not do it now. And I know for sure that I am not alone in this truly one of the most difficult moments in our history. That Ukrainians believe in their state, that we are united. And in all formats of future meetings, discussions, and negotiations with partners, it will be much, much easier for me to achieve a decent peace for us and to convince them, knowing one hundred percent that the people of Ukraine are behind me. Millions of our people who have dignity, who are fighting for freedom and who have earned peace.

All our fallen heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine, who are now in heaven and deserve to see from there that their children and grandchildren will live in a dignified peace. And this peace will be. Dignified, effective, long-lasting.

Dear Ukrainians!

The next week will be very difficult, full of events.

You are an adult, intelligent, conscious people who have proven it more than once. And who understands that at this time there will be a lot of pressure – political, informational, various pressures. To weaken us. To make us angry. The enemy does not sleep and will do everything to prevent us from succeeding.

Will we let them do it with you? We have no right. And we will succeed. Because those who seek to destroy us do not know us well. They do not understand who we really are, what we are about, what we stand for, what kind of people we are. It is not for nothing that we celebrate the Day of Dignity and Freedom as a state holiday. It speaks to who we are. What are our values?

We will work in the diplomatic field for the sake of our peace. We must work unitedly within the country for the sake of our peace. For the sake of our dignity.

For the sake of our freedom. And I believe, and I know I’m not alone. With me are our people, society, soldiers, partners, allies, all our people. Worthy free the only ones
