Central defender Arseniy Batagov continues to gain momentum as part of Trabzonspor — and this, according to Günebakış Gazetesi, is already being actively discussed on the sidelines of Turkish football.

According to the source, interest in the 23-year-old Ukrainian has increased dramatically following his progress under Fatih Tekke.

Batagov, who Trabzonspor acquired from Zora in 2024 as an investment for the future, has significantly increased his value. If at the time of the transfer it was valued at 2.8 million euros, then at the end of 2025 its market price reached 7 million.

The mass media claim that clubs from England and Germany are closely watching Batagov, and the winter transfer window could be decisive for him. It is noted that there is a “preliminary agreement” regarding his sale, but Trabzonspor management does not officially comment on these rumors.
