Bayer Leverkusen continues to consider activating the buyout option for attacking midfielder Kerim Alaibegovic, who currently plays for RB Salzburg. It was reported journalist Florian Plettenberg.

According to the source, in 2026 the Leverkusen club will have the right to return the 18-year-old midfielder for a fixed sum of 8 million euros.

Alaibegovich’s contract with RB Salzburg runs until 2029. Bayer is closely monitoring the young Bosnian’s progress and would not rule out exercising the buy-out option if the footballer continues to show further development and consistent performance at a high level.

In the current season, Kerim Alaibegovich played 21 matches for Salzburg in all competitions, scored 6 goals and provided one assist.

Earlier it was reported that Real Madrid, Manchester United and London Chelsea were interested in signing the young winger.
