As reported Recordthe Brazilian midfielder has become one of the main candidates to strengthen Ruben Amorim’s team in the midfield.
Gomez, 24, is seen as a more affordable alternative to Brighton’s Carlos Baleba and Nottingham Forest’s Elliott Anderson, whose transfers currently appear financially difficult for Manchester United. The Portuguese boss is keen to strengthen the midfield and the Brazilian has been placed at the top of the list.
Given the possible relegation of Wolverhampton from the Premier League, Gomez does not rule out the option of moving to Old Trafford. According to a source, Manchester United can pay around 50 million euros for the transfer of the Brazil international.
Juan Gomez has been with Wolverhampton since January 2023 when he joined from Flamengo for €18.7 million. In the current season, he played 14 matches for the club and scored one assist.
