As reported by Goal, the management of the Red Devils agreed to release the 24-year-old forward already in the winter transfer window, as he is not part of the plans of head coach Ruben Amorim.
The main contender for the player is Italian Roma. The Serie A club has already received information from United about the conditions on which the Englishmen are ready to conclude a deal. The most likely option is a loan with the option to buy, which is what the Roma club, who are looking for reinforcements for their attacking line, are insisting on.
Zirkze himself is desperate to leave Manchester. Since his high-profile move from Bologna in 2024, the Dutchman has failed to become a consistent first-team player. The situation has only worsened with the arrival of Amorim, in which the striker receives disastrously little playing time.
