The guests started the match as aggressively as possible and opened the scoring in the 6th minute — Aslani took advantage of a defensive error and sent the ball into the net. The situation for the Slovenians worsened after Stojanovic was sent off in the 53rd minute, and a few minutes later, Korničnik’s own goal made the deficit hopeless.
Slovenia never managed to create any real danger in the opponent’s goal after conceding two. Kosovo confidently led the match to victory and earned the all-important three points.
After this tour, Kosovo has 10 points, is in second place and has guaranteed itself at least a place in the fight for a ticket to the 2026 World Cup. Slovenia remained third with three points.
