“The start of the week was very good and the end was bad, but the away match against City is a difficult task for everyone. Last season we managed to win here because of the standard, but this time they were better. In the second half I liked the team’s performance – we tried to get back into the game, we had moments, but it was not enough,” said the 47-year-old Dutchman.
Slot also expressed his displeasure with refereeing decisions, particularly VAR, over Virgil van Dijk’s disallowed goal:
