In the 11th round of the English championship, Sunderland hosted London Arsenal on its own field. The match turned out to be a battle and ended with a score of 2:2, while the hosts equalized the score already in the time added by the referee.

Sunderland managed to score with efforts from Daniel Ballard and Brian Brobby, while Arsenal responded with goals from Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard. The Londoners held the lead until the end of regulation time, but lost two points in the final seconds of the game.
