Already in the 6th minute, Nicolo Tresoldi opened the scoring for the home team, but two minutes later Ferran Torres equalized. Club Brugge took the lead again thanks to Karlus Forbes’ accurate strike in the 17th minute.
After the break, Lamine Yamal restored parity in the 61st minute, but the Belgians responded with another goal from Forbes. However, Barcelona managed to avoid defeat – an own goal by Christos Tsolis in the 77th minute established the final score.
Club Brugge even scored a fourth late in the game, but the goal was disallowed after a VAR review due to a foul on goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesna.
