Pukki is the top scorer in the history of the Finnish national team (42 goals in 131 matches) and the second most appearances. He defends the colors of the national team since 2009.
“Playing for the Finnish national team has always been the greatest honor for me. I am proud to have represented the country for more than 15 years. There were many great moments, but it is time to pass the baton to the younger ones,” said the forward.
At the club level, Pucci played the most for Norwich City – 210 matches. The attacker also played for such clubs as Schalke 04, Celtic, Brondby, etc. Right now he is playing for the Finnish GIK.
Finland will play a World Cup qualifier against Malta on November 14 and play Andorra in a friendly on November 17.
