The only goal of the meeting was scored by Pavlovich in the 39th minute after a pass from Raphael Leau – the defender coolly closed the attack and opened the scoring. Milan had a few chances at the start of the second half thanks to Ncunk and Leau, but were unable to convert.
In the second half, Roma had several chances to score: Pellegrini, Bailly and Dybala tried dangerously, but Mike Magnan acted reliably, preventing the opponents from equalizing the score. In the 82nd minute, the Wolves could have equalized thanks to a penalty, but Dybala did not convert it.
