Barcelona are eyeing the Cameroon forward as a potential replacement for their veteran Robert Lewandowski, whose contract expires at the end of the current season. According to Mundo Deportivo, Eyong himself is allegedly looking to join the Catalan club as early as January, with the condition that he will remain playing for Levante on loan until the summer.
However, as Marca reports with reference to journalist Roger Torello, the competition for the player has increased significantly. In addition to the blue-garnet team, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Arsenal are also showing interest in Eyong.
Eyong has played 10 matches in the Spanish league this season, scoring six goals and providing three assists.
