On October 29, in the 1/16 finals of the German Cup against Armenia, Bogdanov came on as a substitute in the 67th minute with a score of 1:1, replacing Andrii Ilyich. The main time ended in a draw and the match went into extra time.
In the 106th minute, it was Bohdanov who assisted Danilo Duki, who scored the winning goal. Thanks to this, Union Berlin overcame Armenia with a score of 2:1 and went to the 1/8 finals of the German Cup.
“It was a fantastic experience — to help the team win in such an important match. I am very happy and hope to continue in the same spirit,” Bohdanov commented on his debut.
For the young Ukrainian, this is his debut for the club’s first team. In the current 2025/26 season, Bogdanov has already managed to play six matches in the German U-19 championship, where he scored 10 goals. He previously played in the youth teams and the first team of Dresden after transferring from Dynamo Kyiv in 2022.
