The Scottish club accepted the resignation of the head coach.

As reported press service of the clubthe Northern Ireland specialist has tendered his resignation and the management has accepted it – Rodgers is stepping down with immediate effect.
In a statement, Celtic thanked Rodgers for his contribution to the club’s achievements during his two successful tenures, which saw him win four Scottish titles, three Scottish Cups and four Scottish League Cups.
The search for a new head coach has already begun. During the transition period, the team will be led by former Celtic coach Martin O’Neill and former club player Sean Maloney.
It should be noted that Celtic are currently second in the Premiership standings, sensationally trailing Hearts by eight points after nine rounds.
