Joshua Kimmich praised the performance of 17-year-old academy student Lennart Karl, who came on as a substitute and scored the third goal against Borussia Mönchengladbach (3:0).

Kimmich, who himself opened the scoring in that match, noted not only the talent, but also the character of the young player. ”He goes out on the field and wants to show himself, wants to be with the ball. It is his courage that leads to such actions,” Kimmich is quoted as saying by Kicker.

The Bayern captain also gave advice to the young talent, urging him to enjoy this early stage of his career, when there is not much pressure and expectations.

”The most important thing is that he continues to teach in training, which he is doing. We will keep an eye on it,” added Kimmich.
