The head coach of Milan, Max Allegri, spoke about the draw in the match of the eighth round of the Italian Serie A with Pisa (2:2). His words are quoted by Sky Sports Italia.

“We are glad that we were able to draw a draw at the end. We made mistakes, we need to analyze the situation and work on what didn’t work out.

We should have been 2-0 up, but at the same time we went too deep: there was too much space between the strikers and midfielders, the gaps in the middle of the field were big. Having taken a 1:0 lead, we lost our compactness and stretched all over the field.

As for the last five minutes, two aspects need to be improved: at such a time, two moments are enough to win the match, but you also cannot lose your vigilance – Pavlovic had to catch up with Nzola.

Pisa played a good match, skillfully exploiting our weaknesses. When the ball was in the opponent’s possession, the players ran too far, you can’t assume that. After the score became 1-0, we should have doubled the lead. We had moments in the penalty area when we should have been more careful. We need to keep working on it and improving,” Allegri said.

Milan currently lead Serie A with 18 points from 8 matches played, but their nearest rivals have a game in hand.
