In the match of the third round of the main stage of the Conference League, Aston Villa lost away to Gow Ahead Eagles (1:2).

Unai Emery’s side took the lead in the fourth minute through Evan Hessan’s goal, but the Dutch equalized before the break thanks to Mata Sure’s goal.

At the beginning of the second half, Gow Ahead took the lead – the goal was scored by Mats Dale. “Lions” had a great chance to win back, but in the 79th minute, Emiliano Buendia missed a penalty.
