Fikayo Tomori has confirmed his commitment to Milan as the club prepare to strengthen their defensive line in the upcoming transfer window.

The English centre-back, who is a key figure in the team’s defense, assured SportMediaset in a comment that he has no plans to leave the club:

“Milan is a great club and until the directors tell me: ‘Enough’, I will stay here – this is my home,” MilanNews quoted the player as saying.

Tomori admitted that he is not negotiating a new contract at the moment, because he is focused exclusively on matches:

“To be honest, I didn’t really think about renewing the contract. I want to focus on the next match, as the coach asks. When they want to talk, then I’ll think about it.”

Despite this, Tuttosport reports that Milan are actively looking at options to strengthen the defense in January. The club are looking to sign an experienced centre-back to avoid depth issues in the second half of the season.

The coaching staff currently has Tomori, Gabbia, Pavlovic, De Winter and 19-year-old David Odogu, but another proven option is needed for tactical flexibility and safe rotation.
