The president of the Cypriot football club Karmiotiss Stavros Dimostenous was shot dead in the city of Limassol, Cyprus. This was reported by In-Cyprus.

According to the source, the murder of the businessman took place this morning, at approximately 08:50 local time. The attackers shot the club president’s car with Kalashnikov assault rifles near his house. After that, they fled the scene of the crime in a van. It is known that the criminals burned their van, after which they moved to motorcycles.

Dimosthenus was a famous businessman from Limassol. His company sells luxury cars such as Maserati, Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce, McLaren, Bentley and Tesla.

Karmiotissa is currently fourth in the Cyprus second division standings.
