Fiorentina’s Brazilian defender Dodo will soon extend his contract with the club. According to the Italian media, the parties have almost agreed on the terms of the new agreement.

The new contract will be valid until the summer of 2029. The salary of the 25-year-old football player will increase to 2.5 million euros per season. The document also provides for the option of automatic extension until 2030, if certain sports criteria are met.

Dodo joined Fiorentina in the summer of 2022, transferring from Shakhtar. The Donetsk club received 14.5 million euros for the transfer and another 3.5 million in bonuses. His current contract with the Violets runs until June 2027.

In the 2025/26 season, Dodo has already played nine matches in all competitions and scored one goal.

Fiorentina will play their next match on October 19 away against Milan.
