The leading player of the youth team misses an important game against Spain in the 1/8 finals of the World Cup 2025 through disqualification.

According to the official website of the UAF, Sinchuk was found guilty of violating Article 13.1 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code, concerning compliance with the principles of honest play, dedication and integrity.
The football player is disqualified for one match – he misses the match of the 1/8 finals of the Youth World Cup against Spain on October 7. In addition, the player has a fine of 1,500 Swiss francs (about 1 612 euros at the current rate), which should be paid within 30 days.
The Ukrainian Football Association has already launched an official investigation into the incident and promised to report its results after completing all the procedures. According to unofficial information, Gennady Sinchuk was punished because he was in a technical zone during a game with Paraguay, which he missed through disqualification.
