The Lviv movement on the eve of the 1/16 finals of the Cup of Ukraine was defeated by Zhytomyr Polesie.

After the game was completed, the defender of the “yellow-black” Rostislav Liakh commented on the performance of his own team.

“Victory is very important for us, because we have not had a positive result for a long time, so the team had a difficult psychological state. We were confidently winning, reliably and organized to play in defense and use our opportunities in the attack.

We also had moments to score goals, so this habit is completely natural. I want to thank all the guys for the game and dedication. Now the team can exhale a little, I think we will get a good emotional impulse.

We were opposed by a team that plays very well on the ball, shows interesting and combination football. So we needed to play very focused, we knew that we would have our moments and, fortunately, we used them.

Now all thoughts should concentrate on the championship and correct the situation there.

We felt confidence, realized that the game was managed and the team could bring this match to victory. The boys were on the courage and enjoyed what they were doing on the field. It was possible to execute the installation of the coaching staff.

I would be honest that we did not expect that the game would end with a score of 3: 0, but before that match the team was seriously preparing and the players knew that if they were doing what coaches demand from us, we will be able to win.

We also had in the previous matches to score and have better results. Somewhere we are not happy, it is football and it is often the case. But in the Polissya game we showed a good game, scored many goals and got a positive result.

Now we will prepare with a good mood for the match with the miner in the UPL, ” – said the Ukrainian specialist.

The next match of the Lviv movement will be held against Donetsk Shakhtar.
