“Chelsea is glad to confirm that his interaction with the Football Association of England (FA) on issues that the club reported on its own is coming to an end.
A group of current owners completed the club purchase agreement on May 30, 2022. During a thorough verification that preceded the buyers, the owners found potentially incomplete financial statements regarding historical transactions and other potential violations of the FA rules. Immediately after the agreement, the club independently announced it to all the relevant regulatory bodies, including the football Association of England.
The club demonstrated unprecedented transparency during this process, including giving full access to its files and archival data. We will continue working with Fa for the fastest completion of this case.
