In the starting round of the German Championship, Borussia Dortmund failed to hold the victory in a visiting match against St. Paul-the meeting ended with a score of 3: 3.

The guests went forward in the 34th minute after the accurate stroke of Sera Grassey. The same forward soon could decorate the double, but did not realize the penalty. At the beginning of the second half, the owners resumed balance thanks to the goal of Andreas Unonji. However, “bumblebees” quickly returned control: Waldemar Anton and Julian Brandt scored two balls and made the score 1: 3.

It seemed that Borussia would calmly bring the match to victory, but the ending of the game became a real drama. In the 85th minute, Dortmunda remained in the minority after the removal of Filippo Manet. This was instantly used by St. Paul’s players: first Danell Sinani sold his penalty, and in three minutes Egis Smith leveled the bill with a powerful blow.

As a result, both teams started the season with a draw, although Bumblebees had every chance of picking up three points. In the next round, Borussia Dortmund will play against Union Bernlin, while St. Paul will meet Hamburg.
