In an interview with the Spanish edition of Marca, the Sports Director of Donetsk Shakhtar Dario Srna commented on the situation in Ukraine, paying attention to the decline in the interest of the world community before the full -scale war, which has been going on for over 11 years.

According to Croat, the theme of war in Ukraine gradually disappears from the international agenda, although the reality on the ground remains unchanged.

Srna expressed his hope for the fastest completion of the armed conflict:

– Ukraine is no longer said as before. There are other wars in the world, and what was happening here has ceased to be the center of attention. But the situation has not changed. We hope that the war will end soon because it is too for everyone. It is time to sit at the table, talk and sign a peace agreement.

The functionary also spoke about the difficult conditions of the football club in the war period, emphasizing great responsibility to players, especially young foreigners.

– Your work is not only a sports director, CEO or trainer. You are also a father, a brother for many young players who come from Brazil and other countries. For them, war is something far, and not just explain what happens when missiles attack Kiev or any other city. There are players who have lost their loved ones – it is unbearable pain.

Earlier, Shakhtar CEO Serhiy Palkin criticized FIFA’s policy on Ukrainian clubs, declaring double standards compared to Russian teams.
