The 32-year-old player will join the Londoners after completing his contract with PSV Eindhoven since July 1, 2025.
Benitez is a pupil of the Quadmes Club from Buenos Aires, and he spent a considerable part of his career in French Nice. In PSV, he spent three saturated seasons, participating in 134 matches, winning two Netherlands championships, the country’s Cup and twice Super Cup.
In addition to the success at the club level, Benites became a regular participant in the Argentina national team, having held a debut match in March 2024 against Costa Rica. In total, he got into Albiseleste’s application in 10 of the last 12 matches.
