Brentford striker Brian Mbmo has decided on the future and wants to go to Manchester United into the summer transfer window.

As reports Authority journalist David Ortinstein from The AthleticClub with Old Trafford is preparing to start official negotiations with Brentford on the player’s transfer this summer.

The 25-year-old Cameroon has a valid contract with Bees until the summer of 2026, but the club retains the extension option for another season. In the 2024/25 Mbmo season, he conducted the best campaign from the moment of transition from the French Troyes in 2019-in his account 20 scored balls and 8 productive programs.

Despite the interest from Arsenal, Newcastle and Tottenhama, the player himself prefers to move to Manchester United if the club manages to negotiate with Brentford. Bee head coach Thomas Frank recognized in May that the club is ready for sale in case of appropriate offer:

“If the right offer comes – and it will be expensive – I am sure that the club will be open before that,” Frank said in a comment Sky Sports.

MBOM is a universal attacker capable of acting on both flanks and at the center of attack. He helped Brentford to go to the Premier League in 2021 through the championship playoffs, and then became a key figure in the highest division.

In his first three seasons, he scored 8, 9 and 9 goals in the APL, and last season made a real breakthrough. Also, Mbmo spent 18 matches for the Cameroon national team, marking four goals. Transfermarkt’s portal estimates it at 55 million euros.
