The UEFA Conference League is a fairly interesting tournament, since the focus from football fans to it, if at all makes itself felt, is pulled only under the decisive confrontation, whereas the rest of the less famous clubs remain outside it, the names of which are the same fans, perhaps.

But since the introduction of this competition, there was no such case that there were small caliber clubs in the decisive duel. This season and even in the Final of the Conference League, Seville, Betis, opposed the London Chelsea in the Polish city of Wroclaw, and if the teams of Enzo Maressky would not have been part of the participants of this duel, there would be a sensation of worldwide.

But still no one will remember that the “blue” played this tournament with their “second composition”, among which in the first part of the season the place was even for Mikhail Mudrik, and what happened to him later – we all saw. Chelsea in the end (oh, miracle!) Won the main round of the competition, so he then missed the first playoff match and consistently knocked out Copenhagen (3: 1), Legia (4: 2), Yurgorden (5: 1). In Betis, the tournament mesh was one step longer – the Gent (3: 1), Vatoria Gimarinsh (6: 2), Jagalenia (3: 1) and Fiorentina (4: 3).

But this information is more for the history of statistics, while we were all interested in the events on the football field and the fact that the Manuel Pellegrini staff will eventually be able to offer a rival, which other than a pair of a couple, would be simply obscene. And Chelsea with this status in the first half frankly fell.

Because what we saw the Maressky team in terms of attacking actions could be described only in one word – “curatively”. We did not see any interesting opinion or bold decisions, except for Palmer’s strike from a sharp corner on the sixth minute on the right flank of the penalty area, and instead, pensioners were still missing quickly.

Betis began to play aggressively and already in the ninth minute pressing forced the rivals to be mistaken in his own half, which instantly took advantage of Fornals, Isco and Abde Ezalzuli, who kissed from the left flank of the penalty. After that, the “green and white” pace of their own attacks tried to keep steadily high, thereby keeping the game under control, and the opponents were not allowed to show anything in response before the break. A good application.

But not more. In the second half, the EZ, which broke the Gusto on the left flank of the attack, faced the confrontation between RIS James, and also had damage, and therefore the reverse countdown on the football field could be started almost immediately. And when the EZ disappeared, then all Betis disappeared – a very sad sight, because the resistance in this state was almost never done by Pellegrini.

Chelsea first continued to suffer in the attack because the rivals closed, but as soon as Palmer began to turn to another’s penalty area, the goals were sprinkled with themselves. Cole simply hit his right flank in Enzo Fernandez and Nicholas Jackson, and they gladly directed the balls at the corners of other people’s gates.

At the expense of this, the Londoners played and went forward, and then it was already more a matter for the technique of completing rivals who had no banal opportunity to return to the game properly. So, as a result, the score was on the border of the defeat with the goals of Sancho and Kisedo in counterattacks, who were simply impossible to avoid Sevilles, because in a disassembled state they rushed to attack and forgot about the protection of their own gates. It has not been projected to good.

The final whistle of the Bosnian arbitrator Irfan Pelto recorded the victory of London Chelsea in the UEFA Conferences Final, whereas for the Betis Seville, the racing behind the trophy stopped in the last step.
