In an interview with FootballHub, Dynamo President Igor Surkis shared his views on the continuation of Andrei Yarmolenko’s contract, the club’s personnel policy and the prospects of talented team students.

“These were very simple negotiations because we talked to Andrew two months ago. I hoped that he would continue his career in Dynamo for another year, and maybe more,” Surkis said.

The President emphasized the importance of the head coach’s opinion: “He first talked with Andrew himself, and then asked the head coach whether the team needed the team Yarmolenko for the next season … Shovkovsky said that Yarmolenko is not just necessary, but should remain in the team, because he has a great motivation.”

Surkis noted about the priorities of last season: “There was a failure in the European Cups, but I can frankly say that everything was put on the Ukrainian Championship. All the actions and efforts we made during this season were agreed with me and Alexander Shovkovsky.”

Speaking of transfer plans, he said: “I hope there will be. We communicate with Alexander Shovkovsky that we need a central defender. We would also like the left Hawa and the attacker.”

As for the situation with Vanat: “There was no proposal yet. Neither vanatt nor on any other football player. Maybe they will be, and we will consider them, sit at the negotiating table and talk as it happens in a civilized world.”

About Anhel Torres: “We are counting on him. He was very interested in the head coach. We have to prepare him well so that he benefits Kiev Dynamo,” Surkis said.
