Oleg Ocheretko is a midfielder who advocates the Carpathians for the lease. The player has a contract with the miner, and by the Lviv period he played for Dnipro-1 and Mariupol.

In an exclusive interview with Football.ua, Oleg Orthodko analyzed the latest successes of the Carpathians, told about his prospects, a speech at the Olympics, the phenomenon of Ruslan Rotana and team partners who struck their skills.

“In the Carpathians I like everything – I am gonna confidence in my actions” – Oleg, behind the difficult match against the left bank. How will you appreciate it for yourself and your team?

– To be honest, there was a difficult match. We played ten after the Pablo Alvarez was seized. They did not expect that for this foul would give a second yellow card. It was difficult to overcome the opponent, the game changed a little. In the break, we heard the coach’s settings, went out to the second half and won.

– In general, the Carpathians have a win -win series in the championship already reaches 9 matches. What is the secret?

– Everyone finds motivation not to lose in every match. We all try to progress in training. If you are a full cycle, you train with the positive all week, it affects the game.

– You played 24 matches in UPL this season. How satisfied are you with your game?

– I like everything. I am very glad to every moment in this team, both in games and in training. This is a big plus for me, I am gaining confidence in myself and my actions.

– Ahead of the match against Alexandria and a well -known Ruslan Rotany youth team. What is your impression of this season?

– What he did with Alexandria, how they play, how they control the ball … This clearly demonstrates the qualities of a trainer who successfully brings to the players the information about what football he wants to play.

– You are acting for the Carpathians on rent. How high is the probability that you stay in the Lviv Club?

– I cannot answer this question yet, because I do not know what will happen next. It is not yet clear whether I will stay here or return to the miner. Let’s look after the season.

“Yovichevich is a strong motivator” – You are originally from Makeevka. There is a lot of stereotypes in society that there is a certain biased attitude in Lviv. Did you feel it in your own experience?

– No, at all. Everything is wonderful, there are no problems with the fans. Everyone supports each other. I didn’t have anything that happened.

– And in everyday life everything is okay?

– Yes, of course.

– At one time in the Carpathians, and later in the miner, Igor Yovichevich worked. Many players are still coming about it. What is its phenomenon?

– It seems to me that its strengths are motivation and atmosphere in the team. Everything was warm, friendly, everyone smiled. In short, a very pleasant atmosphere. And yet, Yovichevich is a strong motivator. He could say such a speech that he wanted to go out and win the match, who would not be in the opponents.

– In that version of the miner, your team partners were in particular Mikhail Mudryk, Georgy Sudakov and Anatoly Trubin. Why are they cool? What did you see in your workouts?

– Everyone has their strengths. Toli very competently chose the position in the goalkeeper. I liked it. Misha is speed, he likes to run with someone in free space. Wheing has a cool vision of the field. Each has different data.

– Do you believe that Sudakov will be able to play in the top European championship?

– Yes. He has all the qualities. The main thing is that there was development. There is always a place to grow. It is important to find motivation and not lower your hands. Then he will work out.

– Who is the biggest master with whom did you play for one team?

– But many such players were. From the Ukrainians … In Dnipro-1 I really liked the pihlonoons. He had excellent ball control. And yet – Ruslan Babenko, it was very convenient to play with him, he sees the field well, controls the ball. Makes everything like a textbook.

– And if you consider foreigners?

– Tyson and Marlos. Why Tyson: He is a master to beat one in one, sometimes two opponents. He had a crazy speed. And about Marlos is a mini-football player. I saw in training how 3-4 players want to pick up the ball on a small piece of field. But he so tamed the ball so skillfully that he was impossible to pick up. And when he charged four players in a short space and began to paint them, and then even woke up to someone between his feet, it was some magic!

– Usually, such players provoke fouls, right?

– This is the story: when the game is one story. But in training he did everything as right as possible. Not just beat to beat, but also make it beautiful.

– The experience of being in one team with Brazilians in the miner helps you now communicating with legionnaires in the Carpathians?

– Of course.

– Do you talk a bit?

– A little. I did not teach it fundamentally, but I know a few words to interact with partners on the field better. Ahead, back, left, right, in short, at such a level, the main points. If you try to talk in Portuguese in more detail, then I am not the best interlocutor.

– What about English?

– It is better here, we can talk from Pablo (Alvarez – noteball.ua) at lunch. Bruninho, Igor Nevez, Jean Pedroso – everyone understands English. There are no problems in this sense. We have a public as a translator, it helps to communicate. If we need to explain something to the Brazilians, then we speak Pablo, he translates them and us.

“At the Olympics rivals tore out the ball with their feet” -Last summer you participated in a historical event-played for the Olympic national team of Ukraine for football at OI-2024. What struck you most about that tournament? Not only from a football point of view, but perhaps from the football?

– If you talk about infoutball things, then the fans were struck. There were quite a few from our country and from other countries.

– Especially from Morocco.

– Yes, it’s true. But to say so that something struck to the wow effect, it was not.

– You played against Argentina, which included Nicholas Otamendy and Julian Alvarez. How difficult was it for them to resist?

– I want to say that even with Morocco it was difficult. Every match there is like the last game in life. You feel the atmosphere of the game, in which everyone is laid out 100%. It is difficult for everyone, because the ball is torn with their feet so you do not score. Such dedication played a leading role in the tournament.

– Looking back, could our team play better at the Olympics?

– And of course, if you turn back, knowing your mistakes, you can do everything differently. And we could play better, but we can’t do it. And in general, it was a very good experience.

– In Mariupol, I remembered you not only for game characteristics, but also for the image EM. You had long hair, gathered in a tail. How long have you grown it?

– How old – I do not remember, but it was a long time.

– And what influenced your decision to change the image and cut off long hair?

– It was a day off, I was lying home in Mariupol. And there were just lazy to look after him. You wake up every morning, your hair is greasy. And so came the moment when I dare to cut. He enrolled in a familiar Barber in Kiev, arrived and cut.

– And you do not regret?

– No, it was the right solution.

– You have a little experience in the Champions League, you played with a selfie for 12 minutes and felt the atmosphere of the tournament. The Carpathians are now applying to the fourth place in the championship, which will give the right to represent Ukraine in the conference League. Is it possible to consider getting to the European Cups with the Carpathians the main challenge for you this year?

– Yes, because the path we pass now is difficult. If we overcome all obstacles and let God get into the European Cups, it will be a great experience for us. We have such ambitions and would like to try our hand at the international arena.
