The former midfielder of French Monaco and Croatia national team Nicolas Town was killed as a result of a road accident. About it reports the official website of the Federation of Football of Croatia.

“Since 2015, the cover has successfully struggled with a serious illness that forced him to leave his professional football, but he soon resumed his football activity in several lower clubs, which only confirmed his unquenchable love for playing football,” – said in the Croatian Football Federation.

“It is impossible to find words of consolation in such a shocking and incredibly sad moment when we lost a young life. I can only express my deepest condolences of the family and loved ones in connection with this irreparable loss. Croatian football family will be with them in these most difficult moments. Nicolas was a great football. The great loss for our football community and especially painful for the family.

In total, he played 15 matches for the adult Croatian national team, and at the club level he advocated Vartex, Dynamo Zagreb, Monaco, Red Bull Salzburg, Inter Pryshchich, Ryeko, Shakhtar Karaganda, McCabi Petakh-Tikva and Slavic Belupo.
