The national team of Japan won the Bahrain National Team (2-0) in the 7th round of the qualifying stage to the World Cup-2026.

Thus, the Samurai reached the final stage of the tournament ahead of schedule and became the first team that officially qualified at the 2026 World Cup.

Japan guaranteed a place not lower than the second in group C, scoring 19 points after 7 matches played. The second place in the C group is Australia – 10 points.
