“I am very happy to join the team. I am really happy to be here – from my childhood I dreamed of playing in Europe, at a high level, in a large club such as Shakhtar.
Throughout the season, I have heard talking about Shakhtar’s interest. Of course, for me it was a honor, it was flattering. During the championship, I tried to take the best shape as possible to prove that the rumors were in vain to be able to go to the team as soon as possible. Like all the Brazilians, I, first and foremost, like to go to dribbling and create magic with a ball, also play an attack as a whole, give goal shows, find free zones. I still have a good speed and a blow – I like to beat the goal and take the initiative. So I am quite a versatile player in the attacking phase.
If you take in the whole history of football, my favorite player is Lionel Messi. I chose the number 30 because Messi also played under this number in his first season in Barcelona. For me, it is a symbolism that would also be pleased to confirm on the football field.
