The Sports Arbitration Court rejected the appeal of the former President of the Royal Football Federation of Spain Luis Rubalez on the decision of FIFA on his removal from football activity for three years. This is stated on the official CAS site.

“Luis Rubalez filed a lawsuit against FIFA in connection with his three-year removal from any football-related activity for behavior contrary to the principles of the FIFA Disciplinary Code. The CAS commission has decided that the sanction imposed is reasonable and proportional.

The CAS commission found that Rubalez’s behavior after the World Cup final was numerous and serious violations of the FIFA Disciplinary Code. Therefore, there is no reason to consider sanctions inappropriate. The appeal has been rejected, the contested decision was left in force, ” – said in the CAS statement.
