Arsenal started the match very actively and tried to score a quick ball. Chaos and danger appeared near the Kinski goal, but it did not come to targeted shots on the goal. The “Gunners” traditionally tried to use their most powerful weapon – corners, but they did not give results either. Instead, almost the first mass attack of “Spurs” brought a result: Son managed to reach the ball on the edge of the penalty area and scored in one touch – the ball caught Gabriel and flew into the corner of the goal. 0:1.
After that, Ange Postecoglou’s team began to defend with great strength again. It seemed that the half might end like that, but Arsenal’s weapons worked. Declan Rice made a great cross from the corner, and Solanke, in a struggle with Magallanes, crossed the ball into his own goal. 1:1. Already before the end of the half, Leandro Trossar received the ball on the left flank, entered the penalty area and shot right into the far corner. 2:1.
At the beginning of the second half, Tottenham attacked a bit, but Arsenal quickly got the ball back under their control. Mikel Arteta’s team came close to scoring. Kai Havertz scored twice with his head from a good position, but he could not beat Kinski. Already near the end of the game, Edehor could remove all questions when he punched from seven meters, but the ball went past the far corner.
Oleksandr Zinchenko appeared on the field in the 87th minute. The Ukrainian even made a sharp cross in someone else’s penalty area, but he was not remembered for anything else. In stoppage time, Porro broke through or shot from an acute angle, but Arsenal was saved by the post. It was the most realistic chance for “Spurs” to save themselves. However, the final whistle recorded the victory of the “gunners”.
