The representative of Spanish Valladolid Jorge Santiago commented on the decision of the Supreme Council of Sports to allow Barcelona to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor. His words are quoted by Marca.

“We are in the same competition and have to face them. They are our league rivals. Real Valladolid are clearly unhappy. It started in the summer when they signed Dani Olmo, they had four months to resolve this situation and they couldn’t do it. Apparently it can’t be registered.

La Liga regulates the competition and licensing of the Spanish Football Federation. The ordinary court has already stated that it would be illogical to register them.

They have achieved this extremely cautious decision through the CSD (Supreme Council for Sports – note) and this registration is a show of disrespect to Real Valladolid and everyone who is part of this league, that is the clubs of the first and second divisions. We are very meticulous about economic control and are supporters of this system. We went through debt restructuring and we don’t want that to happen again. This sets a dangerous precedent.

This is a precedent, but the clubs must work honestly and according to the rules that we have all accepted,” said Santiago.

It was previously reported that La Liga will file an appeal to the court against the decision on the registration of Olmo and Victor.
